Why do Android adaptive icons look different on different phones?
Android allows device manufacturers (OEMs like Google Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus) to supply custom launcher mask shapes (circles, squircles, rounded squares, or teardrops). Using the 52dp Extra Safe or 58dp Balanced presets ensures maximum visual consistency across all launcher styles.
What is Smart Optical Size Scaling?
Rather than scaling strictly to transparent image boundaries, Optical Mode analyzes the shape density of your logo. Visually heavy mascots or square badges are automatically scaled down by 5–10% so they visually align alongside slim lettermarks or linear icons.
Why are both 512×512 and 1024×1024 asset resolutions provided?
512×512 px is the standard high-density asset resolution used inside Android app packages (mipmap-xxxhdpi), while 1024×1024 px provides ultra-high resolution suitable for Google Play Store graphic assets, promotion banners, and high-DPI displays.

Yes. Under the Monochrome setup panel, you can switch from Auto-Silhouette to "Insert Custom Image" and upload a custom pre-made monochrome PNG, SVG, or WebP file. It will be scaled and packaged into your ic_launcher_monochrome.png asset with exact matching viewport dimensions and alignment.
